Colleen Hoover’s ‘Reminders Of Him’ is heading to cinemas

colleen hoover

There's a new Colleen Hoover adaptation headed for our screens, and it's definitely worth getting excited for. Reminders Of Him is the latest of Hoover's novels to receive the cinematic treatment, following on from the success of It Ends With Us, and the yet-to-be-released Verity. Not a BookTok devotee? Allow us to catch you up on all the important details, below.

What is Reminders Of Him about?

The book—which reached number one on the New York Times Best Seller's list—follows a troubled young mother as she attempts to turn her life around. The official synopsis reads: "After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter’s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself.

"The only person who hasn’t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna’s daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna’s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them."

If Hoover's other works are anything to go by, you can expect plenty of heart-wrenching moments throughout Reminders Of Him, likely with some romance sprinkled in between.

Who is involved in Reminders Of Him?

So far, all casting details are under wraps. However, we know Hoover has a history of pulling big names for her projects, from Blake Lively in It Ends With Us, to Anne Hathaway in Verity, so we expect Reminders Of Him to follow suit.

Behind the scenes, the movie will be directed by Vanessa Caswill, who was behind the Netflix film Love at First Sight, as well as the BBC’s Little Women series.

When will Reminders Of Him be released?

Sadly, you'll have to temper your excitement for a little while longer. Universal have slated the film for release on February 13, 2026.
