It is no secret that we at RUSSH are among the die-hard Chloë Sevigny fans. When we found out the painfully cool actress was pregnant with her equally cool arty boyfriend, Siniša Macovic’s baby, it was almost too much to bear. Now, Sevigny has announced that she and Macovic welcomed Vanja (VANJA!!!) Sevigny Macovic into the world on May 2, sending us into a tiny Taurus fuelled frenzy.
We are just so. Damn. Excited. To witness this child grow.

Firstly, this has been one of our favourite celebrity pregnancies to witness (and perhaps one of the only ones we actually care about) if only for the looks that Sevigny has managed to pull off while baking her no doubt prodigal offspring. No one has nailed these bikini, band t-shirt veil combo, and midriff-art-gallery looks quite like Sevigny, but can we say we are surprised? She was destined to guide us all through her pregnancy one iconic outfit at a time, and now we will (hopefully) get to witness the same level of flawless wardrobe execution on a tiny version of her. What a time to be alive.
It is nice to write about some much needed, non-essential news in the time of crisis, and what a joy it is that this is the chosen topic. Giving birth in NYC (one of the seemingly scariest places to be during COVID-19) in the middle of a pandemic feels like an unimaginable experience. However, we are extremely excited and happy that the wee bébe and family appears to be happy, safe and healthy and feel blessed to be granted a peek of baby Vanja’s perfect little scalp atop Sevigny’s chest and can only pray for more content of the tiny, cool angel.
