Long live Brat – Charli XCX is releasing another album

Charli XCX Bra Remix

When Charli XCX farewelled Brat Summer on her Instagram, we begrudgingly packed up our speed dealer sunglasses and micro shorts for another day.

But it appears that brat will live on. Charli XCX has announced she's releasing a new album. It's called Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat.

So, what do we know so far? Not a whole lot. We know that the album will be available from 11 October (perhaps 12 October for those ahead of UK and US time zones). We also have a few insights into the track listing and some of the featured artists.

Presumably, given the title, it's a full remix album. It will feature 16 songs, and so far we know that five of those 16 are indeed remixes of tracks from the brat OG.

Prepare for a new version of 360 with Robyn and Yung Lean, Von dutch with Diet Pepsi-queen Addison Rae, the endlessly healing Girl, so confusing with Lorde and Guess with Billie Eilish. There's also a new version of Talk talk with Troye Sivan which has already dropped. It was announced on Instagram a couple of days before the new album.

You can find the links to Brat and It's Completely Different but Also Still Brat on every platform ready to stream when the album drops in October.

In the meantime, we're keeping a weather eye on Charli's Instagram in the lead up. We'll keep you updated with more news as it happens.

The announcement comes just as Charli XCX is about to launch Sweat, her tour across North America with Sivan. It starts in Detroit and will drop into locations like NYC's Madison Square Garden and LA's Kia Forum.

Long live brat. And hopefully at this rate, those of us in the Southern Hemisphere might just get a Brat Summer of our very own.
