Be Only You.
The beauty offerings for men are ever expanding as brands begin to match their product ranges with the market’s needs. Chanel beauty has announced its expansion of the Boy de Chanel collection available from August 15.
The original collection featured an eyebrow pencil, moisturising matte lip balm and lightweight yet long wearing foundation. From here the range has expanded into two shades of nail polish, three shades of eyeliner, eight shades of concealer and a gel moisturiser. This collection allows for the boys to apply a natural look or if you so choose, a more intense finish.
The campaign stars models Shixin Huang and Christopher Einla and new face Ruben Boa.

The Boy de Chanel range
The nails sit within Chanel’s cult Le Vernis range and offer two colours. Natural is a sheer matte shade that achieves a groomed look for a more subtle look. The formula is enhanced with nail strengthening properties to keep nails strong and clean. For a more intense look, the Black shade also gives a matte finish and a bold statement. Both nail polishes are adapted with a wider brush applicator for easy application.
The first skincare formulated specifically for men is the Fortifying Gel Moisturiser. With Hyaluronic Acid for hydration and a Costa Rican green coffee extract to protect and strengthen the skin the gel is the perfect everyday moisturiser. Suitable as a primer or base for makeup here you find the first step in the Boy de Chanel collection.
You won’t always need to use the foundation as the collection now offers a concealer in a stick applicator. Perfect for under eye circles or to spot blemishes for a man on the run. The Boy de Chanel Concealer has no shine, leaving a skin-like matte finish. Coverage can be varied - fuller or lightweight depending on your preference.
Finally the collection has three shades of eyeliner. The Boy de Chanel 3-in-1 Eye Pencil comes in brown, navy or black. Here’s where the intense part of the collection comes in. The pencil can be applied along the bottom lash line as a kohl, across the top lash line as an eyeliner and blended across the eyelid to form an eyeshadow.
