Celine's latest collection introduced a historic moment for the house: the arrival of the first Celine cosmetics line, Celine Beauté.
This fresh innovation has been documented in the film for the Winter 24 collection La Collection de l’Arc de Triomphe. A testament to quintessential French elegance, the film celebrates the birth of Celine Beauté, a new vision for Celine created by artistic and image director Hedi Slimane in 2023.
Celine Beauté builds on the haute parfumerie collection launched in 2019 and marks the debut of Celine's first cosmetics line. In the film, we're first introduced to the "Rouge Celine" collection, the models wear shade "La Peau Nue" Rose Naturel lipstick – one of 15 shades in the collection that will be available in 2025. The Celine Beauté line will launch this autumn, starting with the satin lipstick shade "Rouge Triomphe".
La Collection de l’Arc de Triomphe draw us back to the House's golden age in the 60s, recapturing and revitalising the emblematic origins of the Maison. The collection as shown in the film, transports us to historic Art Deco venues across Paris, including La Salle Pleyel and Le Musée Bourdelle, emphasizing the house's deeply rooted connection to history – and the artistic and cultural views of the late modernist period in France.

The notion of Triomphe is one that is uniquely at the heart of the house of Celine, symbolising the house's heritage. First inspired by Celine Vipiana in 1971, Vipiana noticed after her car broke down at Place de l'Etoile, that the surrounding chain link fence had a distinctive decorative pattern. This pattern was the inspiration for Celine's classic motif used from that point on. Celine's iconic emblem became a significant symbol for Celine after it was redesigned and renamed "Triomphe" by Hedi Slimane upon his arrival in 2018. This shows Slimane's modernist approach to reviving the house's heritage.
Upon joining Celine, Slimane immediately reintroduced the "Triomphe" emblem, designing the Triomphe bag on his first day, which quickly became the new classic bag of the house, embodying Celine's essence and values. This collection and the cosmetics line signify a new chapter in Celine's storied history, blending tradition with modern innovation.
