The Crown star Vanessa Kirby has been continually adding new achievements to her roster, and this week, it's an ambassadorship with Cartier. As the brand's latest ambassador, Kirby has been tapped to reflect her own strength with the Cartier Panthère, taking on the role of the Maison's emblematic cat as a face of jewellery, watchmaking and fragrances. The representation will begin in 2023 with the reveal of a transformative new La Panthère perfume campaign.
With a natural elegance and sense of authentic freedom, Kirby's performances on stage and on screen have been recognised time and time again, earning her an Academy Award, BAFTA, Emmy and Golden Globe Nominations for her roles in Pieces of a Woman, The Crown, and All My Sons.
"It is such an honour to become an ambassador and embody the wild feminine spirit behind the iconic scent of La Panthère. To be aligned with a house that has a real appreciation for - and commitment to - philanthropy, women’s empowerment, conservation and arts and culture, powered by the extraordinary team at Cartier, is truly inspiring. They have become a family to me and I am honoured to be on this journey with them." Kirby said in a press release.
On the seemingly effortless partnership, senior vice president chief marketing officer Arnaud Carrez said: "To express the force of attraction of La Panthère, our choice went spontaneously to Vanessa Kirby. Intense and magnetic, Vanessa Kirby is a free spirit who has the boldness of her convictions, both in her roles in cinema and in life. An actress who takes her destiny into her own hands, determined and ambitious. A strength that she shares with the emblematic panther."
We're looking forward to witnessing all that Kirby does with the Maison, who have worked with myriad creatives across film and music over the years, some more recent ambassadors being BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Rami Malek.
