Marking the first time we have been treated to this breadth of the Cartier Tradition collection locally, several of the pieces are creations from the last century. Brought back and restored in Cartier workshops with the Maisons expertise, much of the jewellery dates back to designs created in the 1920s, 30s, 40s and 60s.
While it's impossible to select a favourite, an undeniable stand out piece takes form in Cartier's Dioscures Necklace. A one-of-a-kind creation, the piece heralds its name by the divine twins in Greek mythology – Castor and Pollux – celebrated in the unique pairing of these two, pear-shaped diamonds. The stones, which are approximately 26 carets each, have been cut from the same diamond of more than 195 carets – presenting a truly unparalleled meeting of perfection.
