Everyone's favourite workwear brand, Carhartt WIP, has us wishing winter would linger just a little while longer. Last week the brand introduced their fall/winter collection, just in time for the shifting seasons in the northern hemisphere. Aptly titled 'Icons', the range riffs off their most recognisable pieces, doubling-down on the quality, craftsmanship and reliability we've come to expect from the label.
Here you'll find the usual suspects, like their Michigan Chore Coat and OG Detroit Jacket, crafted from their notable Dearborn Canvas. All pieces have been infused with an aged and faded quality, one that reflects the labels' workwear DNA. Carhartt's Bib Overalls and Single Knee pants round out the range. While T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants and sweatshirts soften the collection, all of which feature a stone-washed finish. Those among us searching for the perfect loungewear brands need not look further.
Fronting the campaign is Laura Morgan — a face we can't get enough of, Loshh Aje and Daniel Hopwood. From a craggy, pebbled beach the models showcase the Icons range with a colour palette that hardly strays far from the natural world. Pieces are available in sand, stone, ox blood, faded green and lamp black colourways. As usual, the Icons collection is accompanied by familiar accessories like beanies and caps. Sydney-born stylist and photographer Imogene Barron lensed the campaign, doubling as stylist as well.
On Instagram, Carhartt WIP introduced the range, saying, "Solid, consistent, reliable: The latest editorial by Carhartt WIP focuses on a facet of the F/W21 collection that looks much like what has come before. After all, the brand’s ‘Icons’ rarely change – and that’s exactly the point. Built around key styles that have been synonymous with Carhartt WIP from its earliest days, garments feature triple stitch detailing, diamond quilted linings, and robust fabrics that are built to last."
