Paying tribute to a land that has a great capacity to regenerate. From conceptualisation through to design and fabrication, the collection is a visual feast that celebrates and nurtures a deep connection to our beautiful Australian homeland and the natural forms that sustain it.
“The collection was designed at a time that the 2019 bushfires were ravaging our country and we wanted to pay respect to this deeply sacred land and celebrate the vibrancy of life that unfolds after the devastating occurrence of fire. Much like the hope and joy that springs from the regenerating force of nature, we wanted that sentiment to be felt in the clothing.” Says Creative Director, Camilla Freeman-Topper.
The Resort 21 collection embraces the laid-back ease of the Australian lifestyle and celebrates the bold and unique confidence that defines Australian women. Relaxed and sophisticated silhouettes are paired with oversized statement shapes and easy to wear, elegant pieces.
Classic tailoring is contrasted with an exploration of volume. From wide leg trousers, boxy shapes, accentuated necklines, dramatic sleeves, waisted detailing, cut-outs, draping and gathering all providing a playful sense of bold and relaxed style. A true resort mood.
The varied and beautiful Australian landscapes have been referenced throughout the collection through prints that are an homage to the vibrant colours, textures and tones that define Australian land. Incredible aerial photographs of the vast continent were used as a reference for these special prints and rich tones in the collection. A colour palette of hazel, oyster, ecru and sage is interjected by fresh bursts of aqua, salmon, pink hues and dusty blues.
The Resort 21 Camilla and Marc woman is confident and authentic, with a strong connection to herself and her homeland.
