There's something about Cameron. She's commanded our attention from a variety of genres. Be it as the crimson siren in her cinematic debut in The Mask, as an indie darling in Being John Malkovich, fighting crime alongside Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore in Charlie's Angels, as a heartbroken 30-something that can't cry in Nancy Meyers' classic The Holiday – even the voice of Princess Fiona in Shrek. There's a Cameron Diaz movie for everyone. That's for sure.
But just like her career in film, the actress has a style history just as varied. Although her mark on fashion is often overlooked for other 90s film stars like Julia Roberts or Gwyneth Paltrow, she is a dark horse of the era. So much so, it's her image that's a constant on Instagram throwback accounts like @90sanxiety. Who else could have us considering the skinny eyebrow, two decades after its heyday? And we all know Diaz straddled 90s maximalism and Y2K maximalism without the faintest hint of whiplash – she will forever be a woman who can do both.
Below, we're paying tribute to the style of Cameron Diaz – a wardrobe in flux.
