Dior Beauty has added yet another Gen-Z name to its all-star roster of La Collection Privée fragrance line ambassadors, with Stranger Things actor Caleb McLaughlin being announced as the newest face of the House's fragrance family. McLaughlin joins cast mates Maya Hawke and Joseph Quinn (fan favourites from the last two seasons of Stranger Things), as well as fellow Netflix alumni Jenna Ortega (of Wednesday fame), who were only recently anointed into the Dior Beauty family themselves, as part of the House's recent campaign for their hero scent, Gris Dior, alongside Fai Khadra, Thuso Mbedu, Orlesan and Liu Yu Xin.
This isn't McLaughlin's first foray into the fashion and beauty world, as he's already an ambassador for Puma, fronting the covers of Teen Vogue, Flaunt and L'Officiel, and a regular at shows and event for the likes of Dior and Fendi.
Dior Beauty said in a statement that McLaughlin would "partner with the brand, celebrating the iconic heritage of Dior, and supporting Dior Beauty in the fragrance category.” Alongside his rising star, the French fashion House cited McLaughlin's philanthropy work as a big part of what drew them to their partnership, stating that McLaughlin "developed his own nonprofit foundation, Toa Foundation Inc. (meaning ‘evolve’ in Swahili) that supports personal and mental development globally via performing arts and financial literacy. He is also an active member of the Jr. NBA Leadership Council, the official youth basketball participation program of the NBA, which works to support and improve the youth basketball experience for young players across the country.”
McLaughlin is currently filming the final season of the Duffer Brothers' Stranger Things for Netflix, where he will be reprising his role as Lucas (although the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike has temporarily paused production). He is also slated to star in Shooting Stars, a forthcoming film about LeBron James' high school basketball career.
