Prepare to experience culinary artistry like never before as Brae, one of Australia’s most celebrated restaurants, embarks on a four-night residency at the iconic Sydney Opera House. The Yallamundi Rooms will be transformed into an immersive celebration of nature and art. Stylist Fiona Rae collaborates with artists Emma Davies and Katarina Wells, showcasing intricate vessels, organic sculptures, and sea-inspired ceramics that complement the evening’s theme.

This collaboration is a rare chance to experience the magic of Brae outside its Victorian home, paired with the culinary talent of Danielle Alvarez and the stunning Sydney Opera House setting. With sustainable cuisine and curated art, the event promises an unforgettable sensory experience.

 

When is it?

From January 17–20, 2025 (from 6:30–10:30pm) the Yallamundi Rooms will host this exclusive event, bringing together two renowned chefs for an unforgettable dining experience.

It will be hosted at the Yallamundi Rooms, Sydney Opera House.

 

What’s on the menu?

Dan Hunter of Brae and Danielle Alvarez, culinary director at the Sydney Opera House, will present a six-course menu ($450 per person) celebrating sustainability and nature-inspired flavors. Dishes include Murray cod with crustacean butter, fennel-rubbed pork loin, and strawberry gum ice cream with frozen passionfruit.

To accompany the meal, guests can opt for classic ($265) or premium ($450) wine pairings, featuring standout Australian labels and biodynamic European selections. For non-drinkers, award-winning bartender Lee Potter Cavanagh has crafted a non-alcoholic beverage pairing ($195), featuring tisanes and tinctures made with Australian ingredients.

Tickets are available now via the Sydney Opera House website. With limited spots for this four-night residency, it’s best to secure your place early.

 

How much are tickets?

Dining spots will go for $450 for six courses, with optional wine pairings ($265/$450) or non-alcoholic pairing ($195).
