Brad Pitt has played many roles, Hollywood heartthrob, husband, and Metro Man in Megamind. But it appears the next position he's vying for is renaissance man.
First came news that Pitt traded his acting chops in for some reclaimed wood and silicone in a bid to launch his art career. A calling that's difficult to take seriously when you see Pitt has clearly dressed the part; beaten up overalls, wide brim fedora, cotton singlet, silver chain. In what feels like increasingly like Pitt's PR spinning a wheel of fortune to decide his next move, the actor-cum-artist, is now an actor-cum-artist-cum-beauty mogul. Lost? Let us fill you in.
Brad Pitt, the artist

The news washed on our shores on September 17, when Brad Pitt attended the opening of an exhibition at Sara Hildén Art Museum in Tampere, Finland. Nine sculptures created by Pitt appear in the show alongside ceramics by Nick Cave, which are included to act as a dialogue with the works of British artist Thomas Houseago. From what we've been able to gather, Pitt's artistic debut includes a moulded plaster panel entitled Aiming At You I Saw Me But It Was Too Late This Time, which depicts a gunfight, and House A Go Go, a model house made out of tree bark and held together with tape.
How did we end up here? Pitt began his foray into the art world after his divorce from Angelina Jolie, reports The Guardian, where he began spending 15 hours a day at Houseago's studio in 2017. Sometimes his pal Leonardo DiCaprio would pop by for moral support.
And anyway, all his other friends are doing it so why can't he? Maybe not friends, I'm not close enough to Pitt to know who he spends his time with. But certainly his contemporaries. Jim Carrey, Johnny Depp, Pierce Brosnan – they've all pivoted to art in recent years.
Brad Pitt, the beauty mogul

The art we can understand, but the next this one has us stumped. Brad Pitt has announced his own beauty line, Le Domaine, comprising of four genderless products; two creams, a serum and a cleanser.
It's been described as a "science-meets-nature" brand, with each product linked by a grape-based antioxidant called GSM10, which is harvested by the Perrin family at their Château Beaucastel vineyards in the Rhône valley. The packaging is very chic, but will it rival his old flame, Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop? That remains to be seen.
