Bottega Veneta has overnight unveiled its inaugural fragrance collection under the creative direction of Matthieu Blazy, marking a significant return to the brand's olfactory ventures after a hiatus since 2021.
The collection comprises five unisex perfumes, each crafted exclusively with natural ingredients, deliberately omitting synthetic components to emphasise authenticity and purity, and aligns with the establishment of Kering Beauté, the beauty division of Bottega Veneta's parent company, Kering.
This fragrance collection draws inspiration from Venice, a city integral to Bottega Veneta's heritage, where many of its leather goods are produced. The scents are designed to mirror Venice's rich history as a cultural crossroads, weaving together influences from various regions – a concept symbolised by the brand's signature Intrecciato technique.
By re-entering the fragrance market with this luxurious and thoughtfully curated collection, Bottega Veneta under Blazy's leadership continues to expand its creative horizons while honouring its legacy of exceptional craftsmanship.
What are the five new fragrances?
The five new-release fragrances from Bottega Veneta are as follows:
- Corpo di Sole: Features orange blossom absolute, evoking the essence of sun-kissed skin.
- Come With Me: A soft, powdery tribute to orris butter, offering a delicate and inviting aroma.
- Acqua de Sale: Combines woody and fresh notes to capture the scent of saltwater on the skin, reminiscent of a day by the sea.
- Déjà Minuit: A warm, addictive blend of cardamom and geranium, perfect for creating an intimate ambiance.
- Alchemie: Contrasts the sharpness of pink pepper with sweet, earthy myrrh, resulting in a complex and enchanting fragrance.
Each perfume is presented in a unique, hand-blown glass bottle, ensuring that no two are identical. These tactile vessels, reminiscent of traditional Murano glass, reflect Bottega Veneta's dedication to craftsmanship and artistry.
What's the price?
Priced at $450USD per bottle, they are accompanied by a small pedestal made of Verde Saint Denis marble, echoing the marble used in Bottega Veneta stores.
Where can I purchase them?
All of the new fragrances are available to shop now on the Bottega Veneta site.
