The House of Bottega Veneta has held a torch to the beauty inherent in expert craftsmanship for many years, distinguishing itself by way of the excellence of its materials and quality of its garments. And the third collection from creative director Matthieu Blazey is no exception to this rule. Bringing his trilogy of "Italia" shows for Bottega Veneta to a close, the House's Ready-to-Wear Fall 2023 collection is one focused on ideas of simplicity, elevating everyday essentials to marry the sophisticated and the pedestrian. The idea of "craftsmanship in movement" is a major source of inspiration; tweed, fluffy grey bouclé, shaggy wool and ostrich-effect leather rounding out a tactile and kinetic collection.
For the pages of our November Forbidden issue, model Anaïs Lunch is at the centre of contradictions – between minimalism and maximalism; tailored and louche; in repose and in flow – as styled by Rebecca Purshouse and lensed by Grace Difford.
