Lisa, one of the members of the prominent K-Pop supergroup – Blackpink – is no stranger to the sartorial spotlight. The K-pop star has been forging her own way in the fashion industry over the last year; being announced as the global ambassador and face of luxury fashion house Celine last September. It seems like a natural fit then, that Lisa would be announced as a member of the jury for the 2021 ANDAM Fashion Award.
A trailblazer in her own right, Lisa will be accompanied by an impressive string of star-studded guest judges; including Chinese singer Chris Lee and fashion designers Kerby Jean-Raymond and the formidable Phoebe Philo. Revealed to WWD, the list of guest jurors for ANDAM 2021 represent a diverse mix of creative fields; from photographers, educators, business disruptors, stylists, entertainers, digital enterprises and next-gen media personalities.
Amongst the noteworthy list of fashion gatekeepers, the winner of the prestigious fashion award will also be determined by French singer and actress Lou Doillon; photographer Juergen Teller and his creative partner Dovile Drizyte; researcher and educator Linda Loppa; investor and entrepreneur Natalie Massenet; Amazon’s head of fashion direction Sally Singer; stylist Marie Chaix; stylist and fashion editor Suzanne Koller of M Le Monde, and the editors Chioma Nnadi of Vogue.com and Pierre M’Pelé of The Perfect Magazine and the Instagram account Pam Boy.
Speaking to the award's panel selection, Cédric Charbit, chief executive officer of Balenciaga and the president of this year’s ANDAM jury shared that “The jury is coming from different horizons, and represent the different facets and faces of creativity today.”
“The jury members are inspiring for all of us, because of their accomplishments, of course, but also because in one way or another each one has marked or changed his or her time and potentially the generations to come,” he added.
The winner of the 32nd edition of the annual design competition will receive a generous sum of grant money, as well as an exclusive mentorship from Charbit himself. We'll be tuning in to see who Lisa of Blackpink and her fellow jurors select as the recipient of the 2021 ANDAM Fashion Award.
