If there's one thing that we, the people, cannot get enough of, it's a comfy clog from Birkenstock. Over the course of the last year, Birkenstock has well and truly upped the ante with its offering, linking up with designers like Rick Owens, Jil Sander and Proenza Schouler to deliver us its iconic footwear with a smattering of high fashion. Now in its latest footwear venture, the German shoe manufacturer has set its sights on another fashion monolith: Dior.
First unveiled at the Dior FW22 Menswear show, the new creative partnership takes Birkenstocks hallmark Arizona and Tokio silhouettes to new heights.
Beginning with the Tokio, the style has been reimagined with rubber details and industrial grade buckles for ultimate functionality. This deliberate move towards a utilitarian spirit stems from Monsieur Dior's passion for the art of gardening. Another key point of difference in the Dior by Birkenstock collaboration is in the iconic soles, which merge both the signature Birkenstock Bone weave with the Dior Oblique motif, creating an equally iconic footprint for the wearer. While the shoe has kept the signature Birkenstock anatomically-shaped cork latex footbed.

Arriving in a suede upper, with blue and yellow embroidered flowers on one pair, both the Tokio and Arizona styles are available in neutral tones like grey marle, biscuit, toffee, black and cream. For all who have been biding their time, waiting to hop on the Birkenstock train, then take the Dior by Birkenstock creative partnership as a sign to do so.
