Birkenstock has made a point of delivering cosy footwear collaborations that fashion girlies go absolutely rabid for. Need a reminder? The German shoe manufacturer has previously partnered with Proenza Schouler, Rick Owens, Jil Sander, and even Stussy. Now, off the back of a successful drop with Dior, Birkenstock is striking while the iron is still hot to launch a capsule with Manolo Blahnik.
Yes, that's correct. The pair have teamed up as part of Birkenstock's 1774 line, to reimagine the signature Arizona and Boston silhouettes into a seven-piece offering that could convince even Carrie Bradshaw to trade in her heels for a pair of comfy clogs. In fact, the new styles so clearly draw from Carrie's iconic royal blue Manolo's in Sex and the City, that we can't help but feel Mr. Manolo designed them with the television character in mind, perhaps for the next time she needs hip surgery?

Arriving in two waves, the first Manolo Blahnik x Birkenstock drop will feature the aforementioned royal blue styles, swathed in velvet and complete with crystal Hangisi jewel buckles. As for the second? Birkenstock and Manolo Blahnik are promising iterations in black leather and fuschia velvet to follow up the glitzy first course. If you are yet to get behind the slipper trend because of how casual the wardrobe staple is, then consider this your stylish and glamorous in.
