If like me, you have been listening to Billie Eilish's 2019 album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? on repeat for two years, waking up to this morning's extremely pleasant and exciting news from queen Billie herself would have gone down an absolute treat. Yes, that's right, we are finally getting a new Billie Eilish album. After the year we've had, I'd say it's the least the universe could offer us right now.
With the announcement of the new album, it feels like we're welcoming in a new age of the artist. Switching from her signature green hair-do, to new platinum blonde locks, it's only a wonder what's to come next. Although, we must admit, this morning's news didn't come as a complete surprise. Just yesterday, Eilish took to social media to tease a 15-second clip against the backdrop of her new track, 'Happier than Ever' – which, we now know, is also the name of her new album. Naturally, the clip has garnered over 17 million views and over 10 million likes on Instagram.
For the official announcement, the artist shared her excitement (and all the necessary details) with the most Billie Eilish-esque caption of all. Revealing that Happier Than Ever is her favourite creation to date.
