You can get addicted to anything. One being how smooth your skin feels after a light exfoliation. Sodashi’s Enzyme Face polish is both a physical and chemical exfoliation using fine rice powder and pomegranate enzymes. If I am using expensive oils and creams I like to make sure I am giving them every chance I can with a clean, fresh base. I tend to use it at night as that’s when skin is doing most of its rejuvenation and healing. Also so as not to put freshly exfoliated skin in the sunlight. It is a slightly running and granular texture and smells like oranges thanks to the inclusion of sweet orange oils. I will massage over my face and neck to allow the rice powder to do its work. Then jump in the shower, leave it on so the enzymes get their turn and then rinse off.
I am in no means exclusive to clean beauty products. Though these make up the majority of my skincare. Nothing hooks me more than organic, powerhouse ingredients. Sometimes I think I just like black packaging? Who knows.

This mask is my secret weapon to an instantly refreshed face. It's the only product I've ever tried that has a marked and almost instant effect on fine lines and expression lines. On days when I feel dehydrated and my skin a little worse for wear, this is the cure. For me, it erases the line I get between my brows. Not permanently of course, all lines reappear gradually. But with consistent and regular use, I believe this does make a real difference to my complexion. I was really surprised by the results when I first tried this mask - Jurlique is an all natural brand made mostly from botanicals grown on the Jurlique farm in South Australia - and in my experience, natural products never seem to work especially well for me. This mask definitely works and then some! It's the mask that comes with me on every holiday and is always in my bathroom cupboard.

I’ve been using body oils since my first pregnancy over five years ago and the Mukti Bioactive Body Elixr is one I keep coming back to. Sold on its certified organic ingredients and native Australian extracts I find this super easy to apply; a little goes a long way and it’s best to use just after the shower while still wet. I love the golden glow it gives so I use it in the morning before dressing or after a shower for going out at night. I would also apply overnight but I can’t do it to my sheets...
Sandalwood is normally something I find overpowering but the strong botanical scent of this is oil gives a psychological edge - you can smell it working - but it dies down quickly so not to compete with your fragrance. I’m not sure if it’s the oils or just luck but I avoided stretch marks with both my babies so I’ll be committed for life.

Grown Alchemist Hydra-Mist+ and Probiotic Nutrient Support have been by my side constantly in the past weeks given the state of the world. The mist because it smells like sweet limes and is instantly refreshing during a WFH post-lunch slump. It feels soothing and invigorating and keeps my skin feeling fresh. I love that Grown Alchemist have also delved into the world of supplements, and I’m a sucker for a probiotic that is chic-ly packaged, no less. All Grown Alchemist products are free from carcinogens, lauryl sulfates, petrochemicals, parabens, paraffins, artificial fragrances, and the list goes on...
