Sarah Jackson of online beauty destination, Ines Store, is passionate about self care - and it shows. Here she reveals how she looks after herself with an epic but simple beauty routine. It all starts with H20 …
My morning beauty routine is ...
Always a huge glass of alkaline water when I wake. Then I usually only cleanse with a face cloth, douse face with Avene thermal water, pat dry, and follow with NIOD’s SDS mist. This makes me skin feel super fresh and awake. I then apply vitamin C serum from Skinceuticals, NIOD’s Eye Contour concentrate, Sunblock, tinted moisturiser and brush brows ups with Browfood gelfix in dark blonde.
My night beauty routine is ...
Cleanse twice - first with oil cleanser, followed with cotton pads doused with Bioderma Sensibio H20, until the wipes come away clean. I then finish with Shani Darden’s Toning Essence applied with hands. This is a recent addition to my routine and I’m loving this product.
After cleansing, I apply NIOD’s Eye contour concentrate, Copper Serum and Multi molecular complex. I alternate this routine nightly with Retinol Reform by Shani Dardern. Always followed by Bioderma Sensibio riche moisturiser.
I also occasionally use Cane & Austin peel pads for additional exfoliation, usually only twice a week ... and if I’m being super consistent, I’ll incorporate my LightStim 3-4 nights a week - this makes such a difference. And for hair, Leonor Greyl’ Bain volumateur (no conditioner) and Christophe Robin’s cleansing lemon mask.
My favourite products for body are ...
Leonor Greyl Magnolia oil, so heavenly. Codage scrub and body milk.
Vita Liberata Body blur, just the tiniest amount on legs, collar bone, and décolletage to give me some colour.
My favourite form of exercise is ...
Reformer Pilates.
When my body needs to recover I ...
Have a cosy weekend, on the couch with a book, drinking lots of herbal tea. I also love a good self care session, face and hair masking.
My favourite detox is ...
A daily green smoothie.
My favourite retox is ...
Americano’s (the cocktail, not the coffee).
When it comes to beauty I always ...
Mix it up. While I have my continued faithful’s, I do love trialling new products, and ensuring my skin doesn’t get too used to a single formula then plateau. We are consistently trying new products as a buying process for INÈS. I also listen to my skin, using products best suited to its changing needs- whether it’s seasonal or hormonal.
My beauty icon is ...
Currently - Chanel makeup artist Cyndle Komarovski. She exudes effortless beauty. It’s also easy to zone out on her Instagram skincare/make up tutorials.
The best advice on beauty I’ve received is ...
Less is more. Less layering of products, less ingredients, less makeup.
The best health advice I’ve received is ...
To take a holistic approach, look at the cause and not the symptom. It’s easy to take pills or apply a topical solution to make a problem disappear, but that won’t fix it long term. This applies to skin care too. A breakout or flare up can usually be attributed to something happening internally, whether its diet, stress or lifestyle.
The product I can’t live without is ...
Bioderma Sensibio H20.
