Bienvenue mesdames et messieurs to our celebration of Bastille Day.
You would not be wrong for accusing us to be Francophiles. In fact, we entirely welcome the association. We love French culture. We love the historic architecture and interior style of Paris, the white walls and parquetry floors. We adore the cuisine and the traditions that comes with sharing food and wine. We are forever enamoured by the effortless beauty looks of French women, the low maintenance hair and minimalist skin. And of course, we love the fashion. France gave birth to many of the fashion houses, trends and fashion traditions that are now so deeply steeped in our way of life.
They way of life in France is a small slice of magic and we look to the mores of this nation for elegance, style and comfort. And with all this in mind, we honour Bastille Day, the national day of France. In France of course it is referred to as Quatorze Juillet. It's a day to commemorate Fête de la Fédération - a celebration from the 1700s held to welcome in a new era free of absolutism and celebrating the new French constitutional monarchy.
In celebration, we're indulging in our French favourites. The beloved brands and pieces that offer us a small taste of Paris, Provence and beyond.
