Balenciaga is bringing its SS25 runway content to Apple’s VR headset

Under Demna, Balenciaga has been known for it's boundary pushing, but yesterday, the luxury fashion house has gone one step further, releasing the first phase of an app for the Apple Vision Pro that allows users to experience its collections via mixed reality headsets.

The move into the VR space follows in the footsteps of other fashion-centric brands like Gucci, Mytheresa, J.Crew, and E.l.f. Cosmetics, each of whom have released apps on the platform as well. However, Balenciaga is the first to use the technology to showcase one of its runways, and we only hope that, going forward, we might get insider access to many more.

What is Balenciaga's app?

Experience unparalleled fashion immersion by stepping into the world of Balenciaga's Spring Summer 2025 show, reliving the breathtaking event originally hosted in the vibrant city of Shanghai on 30 May. You'll be able to elevate your perspective with exclusive drone views and immerse yourself in captivating stereoscopic footage that brings the runway to life.

You'll also have access to exclusive playlists selected by Demna, featuring artists and groups providing insight into their musical universes and personal references.

Beyond the show, the app offers access to a meticulously curated interactive Balenciaga look book. Dive deep into the House's visionary designs, exploring intricate details and innovative styles from past collections. Whether you're revisiting iconic pieces or discovering new favourites, this app is your gateway to the ultimate Balenciaga experience.

Where can I access the app?

The Balenciaga app is now available via the App Store for Apple Vision Pro users in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the U.K., mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Japan, and Singapore.

What is the Apple Vision Pro?

It's a virtual reality headset computer that Apple debuted in the US earlier this year. It's a wearable device that brings 3D objects to life by allowing users to pull a 3D object out of an app and look at it from every angle, as if it's right there in front of you.

Apple Vision Pro are available at all Apple Store locations in Australia, and the Apple Store online, starting at RRP A$5,999 inc.
