Designed to live a full life and be all the better for their extraordinary experiences. Hershan is the new Australian brand making timeless goods that endure.
Established in Sydney in 2020, Melbourne-born Jeremy Hershan launches his new brand this week, with pieces that make you cry for an overseas holiday.
Crafted in Europe to the highest standards from materials of superior quality, Hershan’s inaugural capsule collection focuses on a series of ‘Utility Tote’ bags. Refined for modern-day wanderers, voyagers and seekers alike, the Hershan ‘Utility Tote’ is handcrafted in Portugal and woven to size on mid-century shuttle looms - this time intensive process allows for zero cutting waste and a consciously sourced and mindfully crafted result.
Jeremy Hershan draws on a highly successful career designing for top luxury and legacy brands. Taking cues from those sorely missed wonderous days of travel and his dual Australian and European heritage, Jeremy channelled his knowledge into the creation of these contemporary heirlooms using traditional manufacturing techniques.
The incredible campaign was shot in Hydra Greece and transports you to a world that feels so far away right now. An irresistible Grecian summer filled with blue skies, orange hues, fresh seas, vintage cars, cobblestone pathways and summer layers.
Lensed by photography duo ARTURO BAMBOO, Arthur Groeneveld and Bamboo van Kampen – real life partners in life and work who shot and modelled the campaign in July. Their pictures are filmic, emotive and certainly nostalgic, a perfect match for the wandering creative ethos integral to the Hershan brand.
"Hydra is so special, there's no cars so everybody's walking, which creates this different kind of social aspect,” Arthur says. “Everyone sees each other, and you can talk and have a chat. This doesn't happen anymore in the city. I guess we like to live in a little bit of a different era sometimes. A simpler life is more appealing to us.”
Available in 3 different sizes and four colourways, the unisex styles are designed for a lifetime of daily rituals, journeys and adventures.
