After three years at the helm of the brand, Gabriela Hearst revealed that she would be soon parting ways with Chloé, with her final Chloé collection set to be unveiled during Paris Fashion Week this September. But before she goes, Hearst has one more collection up her sleeves – and it's a collaboration I'm not sure any of us saw coming.
Hearst's legacy at Chloé lies heavily with their transition toward a more sustainable and purpose-led company under her direction (Hearst led the brand to becoming the first-ever European luxury fashion house to be awarded B Corp status), so perhaps it's incredibly fitting that she's teaming up with the newly anointed Atelier Jolie, brainchild of movie star and philanthropist Angelina Jolie, for what might be one of her last collections under the banner of the French fashion House.

Hearst and Jolie have confirmed that they will be co-designing Atelier Jolie's debut collection, which is expected to feature fluid silhouettes, intricate tactile details and a higher proportion of eco-friendly materials, predominantly placing focus on the creation of elegant evening garments. Incorporating dead stock materials and spotlighting local, Fair Trade artisans and female-led businesses, the underlying message of the collection seems to be directed at empowerment and positive ecological change in the industry.
Hearst said of the collaboration: "From the moment I heard about Angelina's vision for Atelier Jolie, I believed in it. It is a way to elevate others through the beauty of garment-making and her deep respect for the environment. It's an honour for me that Chloé will be the first collaborator for Atelier Jolie, as both have high ideals for the betterment of our species. That is the reason why I love both Angelina and Chloé so deeply."
When will it be released?
