At home with Alex Eagle is a beautiful place to be. The founder of fashion, lifestyle and art destination The Store, and her eponymous boutique (if you had her name, wouldn't you use it?), has an obvious eye for curation.
The place in the country where she's made an office in the garden and is getting back in touch with her creative side is testament to this, too.
Here, the creative director shows us around, and lets us in on her health routine, art she can't get enough of, and all that's inspiring her right now. Plus, a peek into her new project that feels so right for these times.
Hello my name is …
Alex Eagle.
And I am currently in isolation …
In the country with my family.
At this moment I am looking at …
I’ve set my laptop up in the garden so I can watch my kids play whilst Zooming with my team.
My daily ritual is …
I get up and do a Facetime yoga or pilates training, have a catch up with my team, head out for a walk or bike ride, pick some veg from the garden and try and engage with something creative or productive which I wouldn't usually have time to do.
Currently I’m reading …
On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous, The Circadian Code and The Wind in the Willows with my kids.

I spend my time alone …
I love being alone with my Spotify playlist. I am very happy relaxing with my thoughts and dreaming up plans for when I reopen my shop.
My health and beauty routine looks like …
I am doing regular exercise with Esther and Miranda my yoga teachers, Seema my trainer and Amy Nelms of Flatiron Pilates - I eat as much fresh fruit and veg as I can, wash my hands rigorously with Aesop hand sanitiser and my go to beauty products are Barbara Sturm, PCA and Augustinus Bader for healthy skin and general well being.
I express myself by …
I have found reading stories and playing with my kids has allowed me to express myself in a different way I'm used to as it allows me to see things from a new perspective. Something as simple and routine as getting dressed in the morning or sharing my favourite designers and travel destinations through social media is a great outlet for creativity.
My greatest extravagance is …
At the moment this is private exercise classes. It is such a treat but doing it daily and with the focus the one on one sessions allow, it feels like an investment in myself that I will carry forward with me.
My current state of mind is …
Over the past few weeks I have learnt to let things go and completely relax. Realising you can only control your immediate situation and not the future has taught me to be present and appreciate the now.
The quality I most admire …
There are so many but I have always admired strength of character and being able to find calm in the face of chaos.
The best advice I’ve ever been given …
Less is more.
My mind always travels to …
Wonderful places I’ve visited in the past.
The greatest love of my life …
My husband and kids.
My current project is …
Alex Eagle Sporting & Wellness which will be opening next in conjunction with my stores. It has been in the works for many years and I'm so excited it is finally starting to take form.
It was inspired by …
All the amazing practitioners and sports minds from the spiritual to the physical I have experienced over my lifetime.
The artists I find most compelling currently are …
Yves Klein, Irving Penn, Maria Pergay.
On Instagram I follow ...
Beau-Traps, T Magazine, Suitcase, Studio Frith, all the many antiques dealers I buy from and my friends and family.
My hopes and dreams for the future are …
That we all come through this stronger with a deeper and more conscious approach to each other and the way we live.
