As we arrive in September, and spring no less, we are greeted by the promise of new art. Just as pockets across the country begin to bloom, so too do galleries, who strip their walls and adorn them with artists, well-cemented and emerging. For some of us, the prospect of visiting our favourite galleries is not an option with over half the country in an extended lockdown. Thankfully, galleries have lined up screenings, talks and courses to participate in virtually; a welcome addition for those in Victoria and New South Wales facing varying periods indoors. Why not get involved in the National Gallery of Victoria's Surrealism course? Or visit the Telstra NATSIAA finalists? (online of course!). Wherever you're located, there truly is something for everyone.
Happy gallery-hopping/scrolling! And for more information about upcoming exhibitions read on.
