Ariana Grande's latest venture doesn't involve singing. After releasing her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, she also graced guests of the Met Gala with her signature four-octave active range. If that wasn't enough to floor us all, we've got her take on Popular to look forward to – Grande's highly anticipated performance as Galinda the Good Witch is coming soon. The Wicked movie, co-starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, hits theatres on 22 November. This newest collaboration doesn't involve acting, either, or performing within any sense of the word. Unsurprisingly, it involves spreading love and light.
Ariana Grande has committed to advocating for us to 'embrace our inner sparkle', and she'll be doing that à la Swarovski. The multi-hyphenate showgirl will be jumping on their Holiday 2024 campaign as a face and an ambassador.
Swarovski's global creative director, Giovanna Engelbert attributed the decision as an obvious one, citing Grande's charisma and radiant energy as central to Swarovski's brand ethos. "Ariana is a brilliant artist whose creativity shines through her songwriting and vocal performances as well as her personal style," Engelbert says. "I look forward to engaging in inspiring creative dialogues together.”
From Grande, the feeling is of course mutual. In a press release, Grande says, "I am thrilled to be Swarovski's brand ambassador. It's an honour to represent a House that shares my passion for creativity, pushes the boundaries beyond the world of jewellery and promotes values of unapologetic self-expression. I cannot wait to embark on this journey and to inspire others to embrace their own unique sparkle."
In Swarovski's first campaign announcement, the singer is dripping clavicle-down in Swarovski jewels. Sitting in the black-and-white portrait taken by Marcus Piggott, Grande beams radiance from her pores. (and earlobes...) For those wanting more, Swarovski's campaign rollout will take place at the end of October. We hope she'll have seven rings.
