There's never a shortage of great beauty launches, but this April has been particularly good. La Mer introduced a new moisturiser into its iconic lineup, Kosas launched a BB Cream set to rival its viral concealer, while Diptyque released a limited candle collection that smell like cookies (true story).
Whether you're in need of a skincare refill, new season scent, makeup refresh or just the dopamine rush that new beauty affords, we've got an edit of the best in class below.
Dermalogica Powerbright Dark Spot Peel
If you're dealing with pigmentation (be it sun induced, or hormonal) you'll be interested to know that Dermalogica have launched this very effective peel, inspired by their in-clinical facial series. It combines AHAs to target the skin's surface, BHAs to clear pores, tranexamic acid to disrupt melanin uptake and niacinamide to support skin repair. It takes 15 minutes, and the results are both instant and cumulative.
TypeBea G1 Overnight Boosting Peptide Serum
Developed by Vida Glow founder Anna Lahey and musician Rita Ora, TypeBea is a haircare brand formulated to target shedding, hair loss and stunted growth. The Overnight Boosting Peptide Serum contains the brands signature ingredient, Baicapil™, as well as peptides, AHAs and BHAs to support follicle health. Despite being an overnight treatment, it's quickly absorbed and leaves no residue, so it won't mess with your blow dry. It's proven to reduce hair loss by 60%, as well.
Tatcha The Matcha Cleanse
Light and foamy, this cleanser balances oil production and purifies the skin for a comfortable matte finish. The formula includes matcha, mugwort and BHAs to soothe redness, decongest pores and control oil for a comfortable matte finish. It's one of the few cleansers for oily skin that doesn't feel drying, either.
Kosas BB Burst Tinted Gel Cream
Like a midway point between the brand's viral concealer and fuller coverage foundation, this Kosas BB cream has a gel-like consistency and mid-weight pigment to even out skin tone and smooth the look of fine lines. It contains humectants for moisture, copper peptides for collagen production and zinc to soothe. The perfect product for a real skin finish.
Maison Louis Marie No. 04 Bois de Balincourt
Maison Louise Marie is a family-owned parfumerie, and Bois de Balincourt is named after one of their property's in the woods. Rich in cedar, sandalwood, cinnamon and vetiver, it smells warm and cosy and just a little bit romantic.
Dr Barbara Sturm The Ultimate Stinky Pimple Treatment
This innovative spot treatment combines pre- and post-biotics with shale oil, tiger grass and rice extract to absorb sebum, reduce redness and shrink spots without stripping or over-exfoliating. It's gentle but effective, and the perfect spot treatment to slow into a routine that's already packed with active ingredients (likewise for those with sensitive skin).
Diptyque Biscuit Limited Candle
Inspired by the biscuits at the Parisian Café Verlet, this limited Diptyque candle smells warm — like cinnamon, patchouli and brown sugar. Mind you, it's not overly sweet or 'manufactured', a perfect gourmand for those with discerning taste.
La Mer The Moisturising Fresh Cream
If you love La Mer but prefer your skincare with a lightweight finish, the new Fresh Cream is for you. It contains all the La Mer signatures (the anti-inflammatory Miracle Broth) but with an instantly absorbed cooling texture that delivers matte hydration in one easy product. It's a perfect summer moisturiser, or one for those with oilier skin.
Amy Jean Lash and Brow Keratin Essence
Whether you're a lash lift enthusiast or just want to care for your God-given brows and lashes, this Keratin Essence from Amy Jean is really, really good. It's clear and glossy, so can be used day or night, while the keratin, peptides and panthenol condition the hair.
Clarins Precious La Crème
This formula is bolstered with peptides and plant extracts (including camellia oil, oat sugars, Persian silk tree and acerola seeds) to rejuvenate the skin and restore signs of youth. With ongoing use, it smooths and plumps while visibly firming the look of fine lines. Plus, the texture is incredible (soft, pillowy, radiant).
Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Big Talk Lip Plumpgasm
This new gloss from Charlotte Tilbury warms and cools the lips to stimulate microcirculation, resulting in a fuller-looking pout. It's also enriched with hyaluronic acid and a plant-derived form of collagen to draw moisture, plus glossy pigments to reflect light. It also has that soft pinky Pillowtalk tone we know and love.
CHANEL Sublimage Le Fluide Emulsion
This innovative formula from CHANEL uses Vanilla Planifolia from Madagascar (CHANEL cultivate the plants themselves) as it's rich in in polyketones, proven to encourage skin cell rejuvenation. It's great at restoring signs of youth, but the lightweight fluid consistency simultaneously mattifies the skin. Great if you want to target fine lines, but also large pores and oil production.
Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey Solar Violet
Watery and fresh, this scent smells like Spring. There's notes of pear, iris and violet, plus rose and jasmine at its heart. Light and luminous, this is a true floral that won't overpower anyone sensitive to fragrance.
