As the world mourns the tragic loss of Angus Cloud, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on his life, career and legacy. The actor, best known for playing the drug dealer Fezco 'Fez' on HBO's Euphoria, passed away earlier today at just 25 years old, his family saying in a statement that: "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways."
For us, we've always had a soft spot for Cloud, ever since he sheepishly stumbled onto our screens in that very first episode of Euphoria. Despite the fact that his character was never intended to be around for long, there was a certain undeniable charisma present in his performance that, even when his storyline was overshadowed in the first season by characters like Rue, Jules and Nate, we still had plenty of time to fall in love with his enigmatic persona.
But what is behind this soft spot? Is it the seeds of love burgeoning between him and the bookish Lexi? His street-smarts and surprising moral compass? The loyalty and protection he extends to those he loves? Or is it just that we love a man who says little and loves his grandmother? Either way, we know we were hooked.
That's why below we've unpacked everything we know about Angus Cloud.

Angus and Zendaya go way back
Well, sort of. The two went to the same charter school in Oakland before Zendaya eventually left to pursue a career at the Disney Channel. There's a two year age gap between Zendaya and Angus so it's very possible that they could have bumped shoulders at some point in the hallways. As Oakland School for the Arts is a pretty serious performing arts institution, Cloud got his first taste of acting there, although granted his focus was on technical theatre, which involved set building and lighting.

He ended up on Euphoria by accident
It's a well-trodden trope: an ordinary person is spotted in a crowd by a powerful figure and lands their big break. But as it turns out, it's more common than you think. Angus Cloud was living in Bushwick at the time and happened to be walking down a random street in Manhattan minding his own business when a pushy casting agent stopped him and asked him to audition for a TV series.
Like any normal person, he was immediately sceptical of the woman, convinced that it was a scam. So it wasn't until he was reading lines in a random room surrounded by important-seeming people that he considered she was telling the truth. From that point on he found himself whisked away from his job at a chicken and waffle joint, on a first class flight to LA. The rest is history.

He's really into rap
One of life's greatest pleasures is stumbling across celebrities YouTube accounts, especially if like Timothée Chalamet it involves footage pre-fame. And while Angus Cloud's account it considerably less dorky than Chalamet's, what it does reveal about the actor is that he is a fiend for rap. Specifically rap music from the Bay like J. Stalin and Lil' BloodNot, as he revealed in his interview with GQ. Not only that, but he edits and directs the videos on his channel which are often of his friends rapping. It's partly this reason that so many people draw links between Cloud and the late rapper Mac Miller.
