An exploration of gaze, self-awareness and experience – Holly Rhodes’s debut exhibition at Jerico Contemporary Gallery, Garden Landing, is an invitation to reflect upon the female experience and the myriad ways we are all able to be seen, observed and understood.
Surrounded by Rhodes’s painted figures and heavenly landscapes, we gathered our closest friends to toast to the collection’s launch. Surrounded by blooms styled by Fleurette’s Christelle Scifo, the air scented by Posie’s fragrant hand-poured candles, we sipped on Campo Viejo Cava Brut Reserva, Church Road Grand Reserve Chardonnay and Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon, and Antipodes sparkling water. Dinner was served upon our favourite In Bed linen – a feast of Greek spanakopita, spiced cauliflower with ricotta and CC Babcoq rotisserie chicken, provided by Good Catering.
Garden Landing opens tonight from 6pm at Jerico Contemporary Gallery and runs through September 21.
