Amal Clooney is a force like no other.
Back in my incubation days as a baby lawyer-to be (that dream has long, long smouldered to ash), she was the pinnacle of grace, the one to model my eighteen year old conscience after. Since 2015, Clooney has been a visiting faculty member as well as a senior fellow at Columbia Law School's Human Rights Institute.
In between working full-time as a barrister and chairing the Clooney foundation, the lawyer, mother and red-carpet attendee is a trois threat in many ways. Clooney, qualified to practice in the United States, United Kingdom and Wales, also speaks to the first lady in all of us. I loved her dedication to dressing shoulder-to shoulder with Evita Peron and Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy. Her stateliness moves through her style, and whether she's chivvying the arm of her own Clooney towards the cameras or sitting in-session on committee for the United Nations, she always presented with a fatal polish.
The human rights lawyer favours bold colours, bejewelled sequins and a smattering of Versace and Dior. She has a penchant for archival designer, and favours restyled pieces from Galliano's Dior. Clooney is often in a pantsuit (by the nature of her work), and almost all of her outfits are crowned with her glorious, gravity-resistant hair. A classical silhouette is her forte, be it a mermaid hem-line on a red-carpet gown or a tailored blazer.
In commemoration of our very own flesh-and-blood answer to Elle Woods, we've rallied some of her sartorial best below.

A simple white ribbon can cut through and elevate any black outfit. It's the CHANEL policy after all.

Bottega Veneta Purple and Proenza Schouler yellow. It sounds tricky on the tongue, but it's seamless on the orbitals.

Aquamarine cap-sleeve numbers are rare today - which makes this sighting all the more admirable.

I am partial to an off-shoulder drop-waist number, and this side-stripe in pink and grey is making me woozy. I'll take three.

Polka dot and camel tones. Not a combo I'd naturally gravitate to, but Clooney's making me seriously reconsider.
