Despite photo evidence demonstrating that Bella Hadid, Lily-Rose Depp and Hunter Schafer prefer Apple's older earphones, equipped with cord and lightning connector, not even their tastes can turn the tide against the AirPod. Time and time again we've witnessed new Apple products catch on like wildfire, their rise always inevitable. And even the biggest contrarians among us have to admit that untangling the wires on those previous models was pure hell. Yes, we're in the age of the AirPod and thank god. Now, according to Phone Arena Apple is rumoured to unveil the latest iteration of the AirPods Pro as early as September 2022.
Although for now this is just speculation, the new iteration dubbed AirPods Pro 2 is expected to be unveiled on September 13 alongside a handful of other new Apple products. This includes the much-anticipated iPhone 14 in all its varying forms, namely the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max along with the Apple Watch 8.
So what changes can we expect from the updated version of the Apple Airpods Pro 2? If Phone Arena is on the money, the AirPods Pro 2 could come without the stem and may also support USB-C charging for its accompanying charging case. Plus, it would possess the next generation of active noise cancellation, so there's that too.
As for the iPhone 14, we know there will be updates to the FaceTime camera but little else has been speculated aside from that. As always, we're just going to have to hold tight for another four months to see what Apple has planned, but I'd be stockpiling some cash because the new drop is bound to be one to catch.
2022 is looking like a big year for new Apple releases with the Macbook Air rumoured to arrive in a variety of new colours soon.
