Aimé Leon Dore are teasing another New Balance 997 collaboration

Cult New York-based fashion brand Aimé Leon Dore, under the creative helm of Teddy Santis, has just teased its Autumn Winter 24 preview, featuring rapper Mach-Hommy at the forefront.

While the collection is set to officially drop this week, Santis has hinted at a few pieces that may roll out later in the year, including two prospective Aimé Leon Dore-designed New Balance 997s that caught fans' attention in the brand’s latest look book.

As Santis continues to deepen his collaboration with New Balance, both as a creative partner and as the lead for their MADE in USA division, Aimé Leon Dore is already gearing up to release their take on the 990v4 next season – and the introduction of these two 997s adds to the anticipation.

What are the colourways available?

It looks like there are two colourways visible in the campaign imagery. Of particular note is the a pair of khaki green 997s, complemented by maroon and navy accents around the collar, and with a yellow tongue, reminiscent of the duo’s initial collaboration in 2019. Whether this signals a re-release, or is simply a nostalgic nod remains unclear.

The second 997 design features a beige and white colourway, for a more neutral stance.

When will it be released?

As of now, neither Aimé Leon Dore nor New Balance have confirmed the release dates for these two 997s, nor whether they will be part of an official collaboration project.

While the majority of the AW24 collection is expected to drop on Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance's website and in stores next week, there are a few pieces that Santis has hinted will be released later in the year.

We think it's likely that the two New Balance sneakers visible in the collection's campaign imagery on Instagram will likely be in the latter category. We'll keep you updated when there's an exact date set.

What are the prices?

New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore usually sell their sneakers around the $250–$300 AUD mark. So we're expecting this to be selling for a similar price.
