Birthed from the creative synergy of Ace Hotel and Melbourne's avant-garde studio, Perks & Mini (P.A.M.) is 'Time and Space', a new, limited-edition capsule collection of vacay essentials.
Dropping earlier this week on 18 June, the exclusive line includes a cap, towel, tee, long sleeve tee, tote, and pouch set – each piece a testament to a mutual love for music, travel, and human connection, designed for the wanderer in every Ace Hotel city.
About the collaboration ...
The seeds of this collaboration were sown just before the opening of Ace Hotel Sydney in 2022. What began as a mutual admiration soon unearthed deeper connections, with P.A.M. founders Shauna Toohey and Misha Hollenbach having attended the launch of Ace Hotel Seattle in 1999 (the very first Ace Hotel). They forged friendships with Ace's late founder, Alex Calderwood, and the artists who helped shape the hotel’s identity. This collection, then, is not just about fashion – it's a heartfelt reunion.
P.A.M.'s vision for 'Time and Space' channeled the cosmic and the communal. "A collaboration with Ace felt like the perfect moment to share our fondness for travel, connection, experience, and perspective to interstellar proportions," the brand's founders explained. Drawing inspiration from Sun Ra’s We Travel the Space Ways album, P.A.M. infused the collection with a sense of cosmic wonder; their iconic 'Handmaiden Eyes' gazing out into the universe, capturing the essence of endless exploration and joy.
