“One belongs to New York instantly, one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years.” – Tom Wolfe
There truly is something instantaneous about New York. From the moment you step out into the city’s ceaseless flow a connection is forged – sometimes uncomfortable, sometimes pure bliss – but a connection no less that hooks your full attention right from the start. Every skinny street promises a new taste, sound and style, every bar a new scene. It’s a place where dreams are made and futures carved out, where hearts are filled to there fullest, and broken and filled up once more. A place laden with equal measures of panache and grit, and one that never fails to charm with its dizzying display of kaleidoscopic culture. It is a home away from home for many, myself included. Here, I share my edit of the places I return to time and time again.
