See that woman up there? She's been busy. And not just evading all the Don't Worry Darling gossip or filming for Dune: Part 2 and Oppenheimer. But as her latest Instagram post reminds us, working on an upcoming film, titled A Good Person, written and helmed by her past beau Zach Braff. Find all the details surrounding the film, below.
What is A Good Person about?
A Good Person has been in the works since 2021, when the project was first announced. The plot details have been much the same since then, billing the movie as one that follows Allison, played by Pugh, in the wake of a fatal accident where (we're assuming here) her partner dies. As Allison's life crumbles around her, it is the relationship she forms with her "would-be father-in-law that helps her live a life worth living", per Deadline.
Just from the logline, we can tell it's going to be an emotional one. Not least because of Pugh's acting.
Who else is involved?
As mentioned, Zach Braff has masterminded A Good Person. In case you weren't aware, Braff's past directing credits include Garden State and Going in Style, which explains how he landed Morgan Freeman to play Allison's would-be father-in-law.
We're just going to go ahead and say it: the pairing of Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman is exciting. Which is a sentiment shared by Pugh herself, who shared in an Instagram caption, "Bloody Nora I can’t tell you how proud and excited I am about this baby". Before proceeding to share the first still from the film.
Is there a release date?
You bet. A Good Person is scheduled to land in cinemas on March 24, 2023. Not long now.
What about a trailer?
In good time. According to Pugh, the trailer for A Good Person is due to drop tomorrow. So watch this space.
