"[Our] initiation was one formed off the back of a nasty array of relationship breakups, mental health spirals and career upheaval, resulting in life direction confusion and the beginning of a life crisis punk band."
This is how the trio behind punk outfit Bitch Diesel described the band's conception, and is a fitting introduction to the no-holds-barred music they craft. Following a day spent by the beach with photographer and Contributing Editor Kitty Callaghan, they also released the film clip for their new single, Wine.
"We were incredibly bad at our instruments - couldn’t write a song to save ourselves and suffered from severe stage fright. We formed a ‘sistership’ over many wines and thanks to this bottom shelf Dutch courage it enabled us to navigate the rotten times, and literally band together," bassist Phoebe Taylor tells us. "This track is basically our anthem. #praisebe."
Watch Wine below, directed by Taylor and James Thomson, with assistance from Jackson Jacko and styling from Vovo the Label.
