“There’s something about you that makes me cry, you’re so beautiful.” If you haven’t met artist, writer and musician Elle-louise Burguez, prepare to swoon.
The Australian-born, Lisbon-based creator caught our attention with her book of poetry, Honeyed Stories, and paintings that remind us of endless summer afternoons – detailed depictions of vases and strawberries, coral and pomegranates. Now she introduces her sonic project, Elle Músa, and new single, Cherry Red, recorded by Elliot Heinrich and part of an upcoming EP “full of love songs like this”. With a video shot in Cascais, Portugal, by her partner and collaborator Adriel Ross through binoculars taped to an iPhone, it’s nostalgic romance for the modern age.
