It’s official: Kim Jones is leaving Dior Men

Kim Jones will be leaving his role as the artistic director of Dior Menswear after seven years at the helm.

The House confirmed the news in a statement expressing gratitude for Jones' creative contributions, citing he has "accelerated the development of Men’s collections internationally and has greatly contributed to the worldwide influence of the House by creating an inspiring wardrobe that is both classic and contemporary, and connected to some artists of our time."

“I am extremely grateful for the remarkable work done by Kim Jones, his studio, and the ateliers. With all his talent and creativity, he has constantly reinterpreted the house’s heritage with genuine freedom of tone and surprising, highly desirable artistic collaborations,” added Delphine Arnault, CEO and chairperson of Dior.

The British designer was just this week awarded with the insignia of Chevalier de l'Ordre National de la Légion d'Honneur, France’s highest distinction. He was honoured for his Winter 25/26 show, receiving the award at Paris’s Le Laurent, which was presented by none other than Anna Wintour.

“It was a true honour to have been able to create my collections within the House of Dior, a symbol of absolute excellence. I express my deep gratitude to my studio and the ateliers who have accompanied me on this wonderful journey. They have brought my creations to life.

"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the artists and friends I have met through my collaborations. Lastly, I feel sincere gratitude towards Bernard and Delphine Arnault, who have given me their full support,” Jones said in a statement.

Jones joined Dior Men as artistic director in 2018 and in that time merged couture craftsmanship with the influences of streetwear to redefine modern menswear. His works has received significant critical acclaim and he has been credited with translating the rich heritage of the House of Dior for a modern audience. Jones led several successful collaborations for Dior, including those with Kaws and Travis Scott.

Succeeding the late Karl Lagerfeld, Jones was also the artist director at Fendi from 2020 until 2024. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2018, he was the style director of the men's ready-to-wear division of Louis Vuitton. Notably, Jones was the creative mind behind the viral Louis Vuitton x Supreme collaboration – where we got one of our first tastes of the designer's unique take on luxury streetwear.

There is currently no indication of where Jones will land next.
