Anna Feller sends postcards from Melbourne at the Australian Open

In addition to getting us all well and truly hooked on tennis, the Australian Open shines a welcome spotlight on the city of Melbourne. The city is brimming with things to do and see, and delicious food to taste — a fact that's arguably best displayed for two weeks each January, when the Grand Slam tournament descends on the southern locale. This year, model and creative Anna Feller was on the ground to experience the palpable energy first hand, flying to Melbourne for a whirlwind weekend spent with Ralph Lauren at one of the most exciting Australian Open matches. So, how does one immerse themselves in all the city has to offer in just 48 hours? Luckily, she sent postcards from her short but oh-so-sweet stay to RUSSH, perfect to inspire your next trip.

Eat...

France Soir is always a favourite of mine for a late night dinner. I just can’t go past the Steak & Frites & elaborate wine list.

People watching at City Wine Shop is arguably the most fascinating way to spend a few hours in the city. It's also home to some seriously brilliant & knowledgeable staff.

A newer addition to Melbourne's thriving restaurant scene is the opulent Maison Batard. A must-visit for a very unique dining experience.

While it's not an actual restaurant, we enjoyed my friend Jen's spicy margarita. The recipe is simple and delicious:

Do...

Whenever the sun is shining in Melbourne, I head straight to the Royal Botanic Gardens. I could spend hours discovering this lush oasis.

Naturally, catching a game at Rod Laver Arena is a non-negotiable. It was a bucket-list experience attending the AO with Ralph Lauren and RUSSH, and a pleasure to witness Novak Djokovic’s passion for the game.

Stay...

The Grand Hyatt Melbourne was the perfect base for my trip. I loved getting ready here with Ralph Lauren before heading to the tennis.
