The fashion gods have answered our prayers, with the news that Sydney is set to receive a Phoebe Philo-era Old Céline archive collection, courtesy of vintage retailer RELIKeditions.
Old Céline-devotees will be able to run their hands over more than 100 coveted pieces from what's largely regarded as the brand's golden era, from runway pieces, to rare collector items.
For those unfamiliar, 'Old Céline' is the name given by the good folk of the fashion industry to Phoebe Philo's tenure at the House, which spanned 2008 to 2017. Under her creative directorship, she transformed the brand from fledgling to thriving, designing trend-defying clothing that women across the globe clamoured to get their hands on. While we've never fully recovered from Philo's departure from the brand, her effortless minimalist designs have stood the test of time, to become some of the most in-demand and hard-to-find archival designer pieces on the market today.

Where to shop Old Céline in Australia
RELIK will host a temporary residency at Albus Lumen Société in Bondi, on December 14 and 15. Alongside the Céline archive, there will also be standout pieces from the likes of Loewe, Chanel, Bottega Veneta, Chloé, and more.
RELIK was first launched by Sara Smith, who put her 25-years of experience towards crafting an expertly-curated and fully authenticated vintage collection.
“My aim with RELIK has always been to reframe pre-loved. My obsession with the Philo-era is founded on desire, of beauty and originality - and to create desire from things that already exist feels so modern to me," Smith said of the pop up. "I’m excited to share this culmination of a year of obsessive collecting and curating… The ultimate mix for the die-hard Philophile."
