The only image released so-far is a little cryptic, but definitely has us feeling wistful.
For those familiar with the story, it shows Nicola Coughlan in character as Silky, hiding in the tree. More on that below.
What is The Magic Faraway Tree about?
In case you were robbed of reading this iconc childhood book, allow us to catch you up. The Magic Faraway Tree follows Polly and Tim and their children Beth, Joe and Fran, a family who are forced to relocate to the remote English countryside. When they arrive, the children discover a magical tree and, before long, are introduced to its eccentric and (obviously) magical inhabitants. As they venture to the top of the tree, they’re transported to fantastical lands where, together, the family learns to reconnect with each other in new ways. Extremely heartwarming stuff.
