What the ‘RUSSH’ Editors are buying in November

The RUSSH team are here to report what we're shopping in November. With Singles Day sales here and Black Friday on the way, there's never been a better time to add to your cart. From fashion and skincare to vitamins and beauty tech, here are the pieces on our shopping list this month.

I’ve been in a pre-emptive mood to start healthier habits before January 1, so, my google searches and ecom scrolls have been for things like vitamins, activewear and recipes. With that in mind, I’ve been scrolling lululemon for a few weeks and have a wishlist of items. I don’t own a bodysuit but this Align Bodysuit looks like it would be comfortable and secure. My favourite tights are the Align leggings so I’d love a couple more colours. The espresso pair with pockets are in my cart as I type this.

I’ve never been one to religiously take vitamins but I’d like to give it a crack. A couple from JS Health have piqued my interest. I’m excited to try their Hair + Energy as well as the Advanced Magnesium+ Powder.

Lastly I would love a new cap and running shoes. Can’t go past a classic New Era cap. This grey one will work. I’ve heard great things about Asics and these Gel Nimbus 26’s look super springy.

Once again, my late night Pinterest habit is going to cost me money. I saw someone wearing red mary-janes and have decided that I need a pair for myself. I’m looking at Sezane and Jo Mercer. I also want a pair of chunky boots and am tossing up between these Ganni ones and these St Agni ones - any suggestions of which I should go for are so welcome.

Elsewhere, I’ve been eyeing off a pair of A Brand jeans on Depop (the Venice Straight I think?). They’re the same as ones I already own - but the current ones have a big glue stain on the back courtesy of sitting on a not-quite-dry piece of furniture. I love the style so much that I do think I will buy them - again. Other than that, I’m on a shopping ban as I went a little crazy at the Faithfull sale at the beginning of November. I bought the Sisudo dress in orange (but only the chocolate is still available), the Anessa dress and a few other bits and pieces that aren’t available online anymore.

HENNE’s latest collection drop included the sweetest Orion Suede Skirt, which I’ve had my eye on for the last two weeks. I also was recently trawling JW Anderson’s website and spotted their very chic new Corner Bags, which piqued my interest. And finally, I haven’t stopped thinking about my incredible luncheon at London’s The River Cafe, and can’t help but think I need to attain their legendary River Cafe Cookbook.

November is always a fun shopping month for me because it also happens to be my birthday – which means there are plenty of reasons to treat myself. Something I have already added to my collection are these HENNE jorts that I simply cannot take off. I never thought I would adopt the trend, but now that I’m here, I totally understand the hype. In an ideal world, I would pair my new shorts with a fisherman’s sandal, preferably these ones from The Row, and a pair of oval sunglasses, . And finally, the coveted birthday outfit. At this stage, I am still unsure of my plans, so will need to choose between this embellished two-piece set from Christopher Esber or, this fun bubble mini from Shona Joy.

After a peek at MCMPR’s showroom, my eye was caught by Mode Mischief Studio’s upcoming collections– which I am beyond excited about. They have this beautiful sparkling skirt to come and a white blouse that I believe is already out. And after going to the Gladiator 2 premiere, I was truly quite inspired to get some gladiator sandals after Paul rocked them quite superbly. These A.Emery sandals are combining my two favourite things at the moment; gladiators and thongs. I also recently got the Rationale Beautiful Balms set, which comes with a bronzer, blush, lipstick/colour and highlighter in the set. Not only is it full of beneficial skin ingredients but it also has 30 plus spf in it. I’m normally quite picky with my makeup sticking to Westman Atelier and Kosas products, but I am fully converted. My skin has never looked glowier, while feeling incredibly light and natural. Now I need their #3 tinted serum SPF50+ for my base.

Given the social season of the year is about to be in full swing, I’m thinking practical party solutions…As a producer I want to be able to do the heavy lifting and still look chic, so I’m considering jumpsuits as a new uniform. Given my love of dungarees and Dr Martens, this should come as no surprise. This McQueen playsuit is just heaven but a little unattainable for me right now, this Rix number is more realistic. Whilst too scared to try a tabi, the Margeila Dr Martens are on my wishlist, unsurprisingly. I was discussing with a friend who also doesn’t own a hair dryer, that it was probably time to get a hair dryer, but part of me really wants to try the Dyson Airstraight. And lastly, like most of us hurtling toward the end of the year, I’m tired and my skin keeps reminding me, so must invest in some more Nars concealer for under my eyes, she hides all manners of sins….

I’ve been lusting after just about everything in Maggie Marilyn’s new collection this month but I’m particularly obsessed with their swimwear collaboration with FELLA. I’ve also had my eye on St Agni’s latest drop: I know this strapless top and skirt combo would get a workout in my wardrobe, because they can be worn separately to the office, or together as we creep closer to event season. I also finally got my hands on some bits from Merit beauty and, I’m here to tell you, they live up to the hype. The Complexion Stick and is, in particular, just as good as everybody says it is. And lastly, I am (still) dreaming of a brown suede bag… In a dream world, it would be this one by Prada.

There’s nothing that screams summer to me like a matching set, and I’m leaning towards a Canadian tuxedo this year. This Minima Esenciales shirt and jeans set will work perfectly together or separately so will be added to my shopping cart, as will this Shona Joy maxi dress. The perfect addition to throw on for dinner or even to the beach over swimmers.

Speaking of swimwear I have two options on my wishlist both by SIR. The Dawn set includes swim shorts which I didn’t know I needed until right now, and this beautiful string bikini is giving the exact opposite vibe with minimal coverage and maximum holiday vibes.

It’s taken me a while but I’ve finally come around the sneakers as casualwear and these forest green Salomon ones are calling my name. My plan is to style them with a blazer and an embellished midi skirt - I’m still very much on the unexpected shoe theory train.
