In partnership with YSL Beauty
There's no better night than one that appeals to the senses. Last night, RUSSH together with YSL Beauty hosted friends and creative minds for an evening of food with fragrance in celebration of the latest scent, Libre Flowers & Flames.
The night started in a suite at Paramount House, where guests including Jarvis Avali, Sarah Stephens, Nat Buchanan, Montana Cox, Yasmin Suteja, Sean Brady and Emma Kate Boyd stopped in for makeup using YSL Beauty favourites (Loveshine, Lash Clash and Touché Eclat included). Following this, everyone moved downstairs for Champagne in the YSL Beauty fragrance lounge. The space was dedicated to Libre Flowers & Flames, a sexy new floral iteration of the famed fragrance. It's warm but bold, with notes of blooming desert lily, creamy coco palm, orange blossom and lavender sourced from the YSL Beauty Ourika gardens in Morocco. Flowers & Flames is a bold riff on the YSL Beauty icon. Fronted by Dua Lipa, Libre pays tribute to freedom, individuality and living life on your own terms.
After a Moët toast in Waterford coupes, liberal Libre application and a few photos (of course), guests moved next door to Poly for a late dinner. The Surry Hills restaurant is known for its use of fire to cook and flavour food. The meal started with AP sourdough bread and butter — the simplest of pleasures — followed by oysters, crispy shrimp, roasted spatchcock, potatoes and leaves. Dessert was a burnt meringue tart with sticky wine. Perfection.
Guests enjoyed good food, wine, scent and conversation well into the night — naturally we were the last table to leave. Libre Flowers & Flames is all about warmth, confidence, sexiness and irreverence; a beautiful, intimate night to celebrate a special new launch from YSL Beauty.
