Every celebrity to endorse Kamala Harris as the next US President

Gracie Abrams and Beyoncé

The world is collectively biting their nails as we inch closer to the US presidential election which is slated for Tuesday, November 5. And while those of us watching from Australia won’t get to cast a vote in support of Kamala Harris, there are plenty of celebrities who have rallied around the democratic party’s history-making campaign. From Beyonce to Taylor Swift, we're rounding up the A-listers who've expressed their support for Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz — plus exactly what they've said.

Rihanna

As a Barbadian citizen, she might not legally be able to vote in the election, but that hasn't stopped Rihanna from rallying around Harris. After sharing her support for the Democratic candidate on Instagram, she also fought back at commenters who disagreed with her stance.

Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland

Former Destiny's Child members Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland introduced Vice President Kamala Harris at a rally in Houston, Texas. As part of their remarks, Beyoncé told the crowd,  “Vice President Kamala Harris [is] a woman who has been pushing for what this country really needs right now: unity. We are at the precipice of an incredible shift, the brink of history.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger made his political stance known via Twitter, where he expressed that, despite being a Republican, he'll be casting his vote for Harris and Walz. As part of the statement, he wrote, “We need to close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know that former President Trump won’t do that. He will divide, he will insult, he will find new ways to be more un-American than he already has been, and we, the people, will get nothing but more anger.”

Billie Eilish and Finneas

Billie Eilish and her brother (and musical partner), Finneas, have both been vocal in their support for Harris and Walz. The duo posted a video message to social media in mid October, where they shared their intentions to vote for the Democratic party, and urged others to do the same.  “We cannot let extremists control our lives, our freedoms, and our future. The only way to stop them, and the dangerous Project 2025 agenda, is to vote and elect Kamala Harris,” Finneas said.

On October 25, he posted a video to Instagram, alongisde which he wrote, :We need leaders who are equipped to enact climate policies that will help save the planet, and that’s why I’m casting my vote for [Kamala Harris] on November 5."

After passionately endorsing Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election, there was plenty of speculation around whether Taylor Swift would use her platform to support one candidate in 2024. And on September 10, the singer did exactly that, announcing her intention to vote for Kamala Harris just hours after the first presidential debate took place. "“I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos," she wrote, adding, "I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”

Gracie Abrams

Gracie Abrams took to the stage to perform at a Democratic rally in Madison, Wisconsin, and took the opportunity to announce her voting intentions. Addressing other young voters, the 25-year-old said, "We know that unless we vote and keep our democracy intact, there is nothing we will be able to do to fix it when it is our turn." She added, "[Harris] is the right leader at a very tricky time and we could not be luckier.”

Eminem

Rapper Eminem also used his voice at a rally for Harris, where he encouraged everyone to get out and vote come November. "I don't think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution of what people will do if you make your opinion known. I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld," he declared.

Cynthia Nixon

Another SATC alum to cast their vote for Harris is Cynthia Nixon. The actress shared her intentions via an iconic video set to Harris viral 'Coconut' remix — while she sipped from an actual coconut, of course.

Former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders weighed in with a passionate video shared to Instagram. In particular, he urged those withholding their vote for the Democratic party as a result of the ongoing war in Gaza to reconsider. “I understand that there are millions of Americans who disagree with President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on the terrible war in Gaza. I am one of them,” he said. “Some of you are saying, how can I vote for Kamala Harris if she is supporting this terrible war? And that is a very fair question." But he went on to make a convincing case for voting Harris into office. “I promise you, after Kamala wins, we will together do everything that we can to change US policy toward Netanyahu,” Sanders beseeched his viewers. “An immediate ceasefire, the return of all hostages, a surge of massive humanitarian aid, the stopping of settler attacks on the West Bank, and the rebuilding of Gaza for the Palestinian people.”

Jennifer Lopez took to a democratic rally in Las Vegas, and took the opportunity to condemn racist remarks made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe about Puerto Rico at a Trump rally in NYC. Lopez, who is Puerto Rican, said, “It wasn’t just Puerto Ricans that were offended that day, it was every Latino in this country, it was humanity and anyone of decent character … There is no candidate in the history of the presidency that is more qualified and there is no job that Kamala Harris can’t do.”

Bad Bunny

Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny expressed a similar sentiment via Instagram, sharing a video showing Harris criticise Trump over his handling of Hurricanes Irma and Maria that destroyed the island and its surrounds back in 2017. In the clip, Harris says, “I will never forget what Donald Trump did and what he did not do when Puerto Rico needed a caring and a competent leader.”
