To say it's been a huge year for Chappell Roan would be an understatement. Now, it looks like things are about to turn up another notch, with Roan finally gifting us a new track, after weeks of cryptically hinting that new music could be on the way. For everything we know about what's sure to become our next musical hyper-fixation, keep reading.

In the country-esque song, Roan sings, "she gets the job done" — a reference to one of the first hints that new music was on the way. Earlier in October, Roan a series of polaroid photos to Instagram with the caption, "This is a clue. Just let that sink in." Further fanning the flame, words written on each of the polaroids spelled out, "She Gets The Job Done," with many speculating that this could be the name of an upcoming single, or perhaps the new album itself.

And in late October, Roan took to Instagram with a film photo of herself, holding the vinyl version of her first album. But it was the caption that really caught fans' attention. Alongside the snap, Roan wrote: "Album kinda popped off imo but it is time to welcome a hot new bombshell into the villa."

Naturally, the comment section on the post quickly descended into chaos, with many jumping to the conclusion that the post could only mean one thing: a sophmore album is en route.
When will Chappell Roan's second album be released?
While an exact timeline is murky, Dan Nigro — who co-wrote and produced Roan's first album — has given some hints on when to expect more music. Speaking to The New York Times in September, he shared that the duo had already completed five new tracks, including a “fun, up-tempo country song,” a “couple of ballads," “mid-tempo rock song" and a song with a fiddle. He added, “It’s a new version of Chappell.”
So while we wait very patiently, in the meantime, we'll be keeping a close on Roan's Instagram feed for more clues. Stay tuned.
