Thankfully, there’s no better time to spritz yourself with a new scent, with the addition of a new perfume to Courrèges coveted Hyper line. Titled ‘Iris’, this woody, floral concoction is, much like everything else the French brand produces, deserving of a place on your wish list. 

Courrèges launched its very first perfume, L'Empreinte, nearly 50 years ago. Fast forward to 2021 and artistic director Nicolas de Felice re-entered the fragrance market with a line of five scents, including a revamp of the iconic L'Empreinte and 2015's La Fille de L’Air, plus three brand new scent profiles: Slogan, C and Seconde Peau. Then, in 2023, the label further built on this success with Hyper Courrèges, a collection of three fresh scents — Cuir, Musc, and Oud — each housed in a futuristic, silver chrome vessel. Now, Hyper Courrèges has grown by one, thanks to Iris.

What does Courrèges 'Iris' smell like?

The House describes their new scent as equal parts intense and evocative: "an androgynous eau de parfum nestled on a powdery accord of violet leaves."  This floral overtone gives way to notes of cedar wood, "rethinking the floral fragrance as a mirror elixir that reflects a personality high in contrasts." As for how to wear the fragrance, Courrèges suggests broad, supple spritzes to extend the olfactory trail.
