In partnership with Kiehl's
Staying in is often, if not always, better than going out. This was the sentiment last night, where RUSSH and Kiehl's hosted the ultimate night in at The Ace Hotel in Surry Hills.
Friends of RUSSH, including Carmen Azzopardi, Serena Wardell, Coco Van Dijk, Hannah Juneva, Ali Whittle, Olivia Koennecke and Riahn Griffiths, checked in for a New York night with beauty editor Emily Algar. A pre-dinner drink turned into dinner upstairs at Kiln (not leaving the hotel definitely still counts as staying 'in') and an incredible menu with too many courses to count (orange wine, tuna tartare and butter with anchovies...). After dessert, everyone retired to their room for a skin consultation from the Kiehl's skin pros to learn all about 'Your Kiehl's Favourites' products - their cult-following products loved by customers around the world.
The luxurious nighttime routine - in bed, no less, started with a scan to measure hydration and barrier function, before a deep cleanse and massage using the Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque (a tip, this mask can be massaged into the skin for best results). The best way to end any night is with hydration, namely the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream with Squalane (a 24-hour formula that's weightless and perfect for every skin type) and Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. The latter has a stack of famous fans, and is loved for its plush texture, boosted with Avocado Oil, Beta-Carotene and Shea Butter. For brightening, the Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution was used to gently exfoliate for a glassy finish. Another perfect pre-bed formula is the Retinol Skin-Renewing Daily Micro-Dose Serum, a slow-releasing formula to improve cellular turnover minus the risk of irritation. For body, it had to be the Creme de Corps; an iconic product that softens and leaves limbs silky. Eight plus hours of good sleep ensued, plus really, really great skin.
