Anyone who has been keeping a close eye on the rising stars of the Australian film industry will know that Marlo Kelly is one of our brightest flames. Enigmatic and playful, she has taken international waters by storm in her role as Tatiana in the hit Netflix series, 3 Body Problem, and as the series' popularity continues to grow (with season 3 just confirmed), it doesn't seem like Kelly's impact will be slowing down either.
On the day of her first-ever Emmy Awards, the budding Australian star took us along as she prepared for television's night of nights. Working with Annabelle Harron, the stylist shared, "This was our first time fitting together and Marlo shared a Pinterest board with me for inspiration. We both loved the idea of clean, strong silhouettes – I love how the simplicity of this dress really showcases Marlo and her beauty. It’s so classically statuesque, but with a little edge."

This is your first Emmy’s. What are you most excited about?
I’m so excited about celebrating with my incredible 3 Body family. I love the cast and creators so much, any excuse to spend time together is a good one. The Emmy’s is a phenomenal one.
Tell us about your look for tonight? How did it come about and what do you love about it?
My look tonight is a delicious black dress by Dolce & Gabbana. My stylist Annabelle pulled so many wonderful pieces but this dress was undeniable. Both timeless and fresh, it makes me feel like the best version of myself.
3 Body Problem is nominated for Best Series – why do you think it’s had such an impact and what was it like to work on?
3 Body Problem is such an an expansive, epic of a show that it truly has something for everyone.The process of creating it was thrilling and I think you can feel that in the pulse of the final product. I’m immensely grateful to be apart of something of this calibre.
I’m honestly excited to see everyone. We all live and come from different parts of the world, so coming together is a rare and special treat.
